LASH EXTENSION CARE

Thank you for trusting me with your lash needs. I hope that you are pleased with your lash extension. Touch-ups should be done every 2-3 weeks. Here are some tips to extending the life of your lash extension. Please note that you lose 2-3 natural lashes each day, and it’s expected that some of those that fall out naturally will have an extension attached - thus the need for regular touch-ups.

Avoid getting them wet for the first 24-48 hours. That means no showering or hot baths. You can take a cool bath. *Lash extensions are water-resistant, not waterproof.

Avoid splashing water on your extensions.

Avoid rubbing the eyes or pulling on the extensions, which may cause shedding.

Avoid products containing: PEG (polyethylene glycol), propylene glycol, and propylene carbonate. These ingredients have the ability to break down the adhesive, and shorten the longevity of your lashes.

Avoid using heavy eye creams or oils near the extensions since it can loosen the glue.

Avoid tossing and turning in your sleep and sleeping on your face if possible. That is, unless you want to wake up to oddly bent or fallen-off lashes.

Do not get your lashes directly in heat's way. "So if you're baking and you open up the oven, let the heat come out first, or if you are removing a lid from a pot, release the steam away from you." *Lash extensions are heat-resistant, not heatproof.

Do not use waterproof mascara. And only apply mascara to the tips. Be sure to use an oil-free product when removing the mascara.

Do not use cotton on the lashes, as the fiber will attract lint. Instead, use a soft cloth and water or an oil-free makeup remover when removing liner, mascara, and shadow.

Do not remove extensions on your own. Please contact me to remove them when you are ready and not longer wish to have extensions.

Use a heated lash curler if you'd like, but only if it's on a very low heat.

Use lash wand and ring finger to shape lashes.

Feel free to swim. "You just want to spray them afterwards with bottled, non-chlorinated water because that will prevent the adhesive from breaking down.”
